18th May- Open Adventure Endurance Series
They are back in Broughton in Furness for the first event of the 2008 Endurance series. To accommodate all of you we have moved to Victory Hall, parking is tricky and the plan is to use the wide and long Foxfield Road that leaves the village by the south.
It is very likely that the start/finish will be a 30min cycle from registration so best pack an extra banana to get you back after giving you all over 5 hours. Previous competitors will vouch for the excellent riding and running in the area so expect some surprises - this event won't be short of them.

October 2008
Saturday 4th October- Coniston Trail Race. The Puma Coniston Trail Race and Challenge is a 15km course through some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the Lake District. Starting and finishing at Coniston Hall, just outside Coniston village, the circuit along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways takes in panoramic views of Lake Coniston and the surrounding peaks of the Old Man, Swirl How, Wetherlam and Dow Crags.
Underfoot conditions are generally good for those used to off road running, although there is one short 200m section after approx 3.5km which only agile mountain goats will be able to run. Check out the slide-show of the course.
The course has kilometre markers and a water station at just over half-way, there are some great prizes on offer for the trail race, and winners prizes in the veteran classes. All the finishers receive a memento and will have a chance of winning a spot prize donated by local businesses.
There are children's Fun Trails too for under 8's to under 12's - short 400m laps around the finish arena for all abilities. Every finisher gets a specially engraved medal, and there are winner's prizes and junior spot prizes too.
The Coniston Sport Trail is also a new event over approx 5km for everyone 12 years old or more.
