Coniston Water Launch & Ferry Service
Coniston Launch sails traditional passenger launches on Coniston Water, and runs a frequent ferry and cruise service calling at Coniston Boatlandings, Waterhead Hotel, Monk Coniston, Torver, Brantwood, Park a Mor, Lake Bank, and Sunny Bank .

Yew Tree Farm Tea Room Coniston
Originally opened by Beatrix Potter many years ago, the Tea room can be accessed on foot or cycle via an extensive choice of Public Rights of Way, parking is available at Tarn Hows, Glen Mary, Coniston, Shepherds Bridge, Hodge Close and Tilberthwaite.
Pick up a walk leaflet from The Coppermines Estate Office in Coniston Village and enjoy the 4 mile circular walk from Coniston, with refreshments at Yew Tree Farm. |

Lanehead Outdoor Centre
The setting is perfect. Behind the Centre is the forest of Grizedale, whilst opposite, across the water, lie some of Cumbria’s most interesting mountainous fells. The landscape is dominated by mountains, rivers, cliffs and lakes.
These features are utilised by the experienced Centre staff to provide adventurous activities in dramatic settings. The Centre accommodates up to 44 people and is available for booking at weekends and throughout the summer period. Bookings with or without led activities and one day taster sessions are available.

Coniston Mountain Rescue
The Coniston mountain rescue team is on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The team consists solely of local volunteers, all of whom undergo extensive training. The team is entirely funded by public donation. |
